Hampton school, 3g pitch irrigation, London
The Hunter ST1600 rotor has been specifically developed for applying water to synthetic sports surfaces, and the latest uk installation of high performance sprinkler has been installed at Hampton School as part of the provision of a new extensive synthetic multi sport facility at the school.
The installation was under taken by Irrigation and Water and owner Ashley Proctor specified the ST1600. Ashley explains that "we were looking for a high performance pop up rotor that has the best distribution of water possible, and has a good rotation speed to allow for fast applications of water that can be required when irrigating these types of surfaces". The ST1600 has a maximum through of just over 50 meters allowing watering from the perimeter in most cases. It can be used to irrigate a wide variety of sports pitches, other applications in the uk include football, hockey pitches and skid pan dampening.
How can we help?
From initial contact through to completion of installation of a 100ft borehole for garden and domestic use, couldn't fault the service from Ashley, Derek and Andy the engineer. Now got an excellent scheme for our 1 acre garden and also serves hot and grey water in the house. The first pump was too beefy at 20 gallons/min so down-rated to 8 gallons/min and added a UV clarifier to the buffer tank. A very neat installation. Roll on the hot weather next year!!Private Client - Woodton, Norfolk
